Do I need a prescription from an optometrist or eye doctor?

Yes. When configuring prescription lenses, you'll need to enter values from your prescription (SPH, CYL, AX, PD). You can photograph your prescription — our OCR automatically reads the values — or enter them manually. We are not responsible for incorrect values entered by the customer.

How long is a prescription valid?

Most prescriptions are valid for 1–2 years. We recommend using a prescription no older than 1 year. If unsure, consult your optometrist.

What if I can't read my prescription?

Use the prescription photo feature — our AI (GPT-4o) recognises standard prescription formats. If automatic recognition fails, enter values manually using the guide in the configurator.

What do the abbreviations mean (SPH, CYL, AX, PD, ADD)?

SPH (Sphere) — basic correction for near/farsightedness. CYL (Cylinder) — astigmatism correction. AX (Axis) — astigmatism angle (0–180°). PD (Pupillary distance) — distance between pupils in mm. ADD (Addition) — for progressive/bifocal lenses.

Which lens index should I choose?

Index 1.50 is standard (+€15/pair). Index 1.60 (+€30/pair) is recommended for SPH ±3.00 or higher. Index 1.67 (+€50/pair) for SPH ±5.00+. Index 1.74 (+€90/pair) for strong prescriptions above ±6.00. Higher index = thinner and lighter lenses.

What's included in the frame price?

The frame price is for the frame only. Prescription lenses are added based on your selection. Single-vision 1.50 clear lenses (AR/HMC) are +€15/pair. Lens cutting and fitting is always included.

What is a Blue Light filter?

BlueRayCut™ blocks blue light from screens — +€30/pair. Transitions® photochromic lenses darken automatically outdoors — +€80/pair. Progressive Freevision™ lenses — +€70/pair. All prices are per pair (two lenses).

How do I find my frame size?

Each product lists three measurements: lens width × bridge width – temple length. E.g. 52□18-145. Lens width: XS = ≤48 mm, S = 49–51 mm, M = 52–54 mm, L = 55–57 mm, XL = 58–60 mm, XXL = ≥61 mm.

What's the difference between acetate and TR plastic?

Acetate is a premium cotton-cellulose material — stiffer, heat-adjustable, vibrant colours. TR plastic (Polyflex/TPEE) is flexible, lightweight, virtually indestructible — ideal for sport and children's glasses.

Is titanium hypoallergenic?

Yes. Titanium frames are 100% hypoallergenic and nickel-free. Ideal for people with sensitive skin or metal allergies.

How long does delivery take?

All orders are processed within 8–12 business days. Every order goes through a certified optical workshop for custom lens cutting, then delivered by DHL courier.

How much does shipping cost?

DHL courier shipping costs €10. Free shipping on orders over €100. We deliver to Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Can I return my order?

Yes. You have 14 days from receipt to return items without giving a reason. Prescription glasses made to your prescription are custom products — returns are subject to individual review. Contact us at hello@vici.sk.

What if my glasses have a damaged lens or material defect?

Contact us at hello@vici.sk with photos and your order number. Material defects are covered by a 24-month warranty. Shipping damage is resolved with a replacement at our cost.

Is card payment secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe — PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Your card number never reaches our servers.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and PayPal. Card payments are processed immediately.
